The firm behind the numbers
Five years of helping Zimbabwean businesses put their house in order — and then build something worth investing in.
Built by people who had to make the numbers work.
MG Advisory began with a simple observation: Zimbabwe has no shortage of capable business owners, but it has a serious shortage of businesses that can prove they are worth backing.
Time and again we watched good companies lose funding, lose tenders and lose buyers — not because the business was bad, but because the books were behind, the statutory file was incomplete, or nobody could produce a credible set of numbers when it mattered.
So we built a firm to close that gap. Over the past five years we have grown from a small accounting practice into a full advisory house serving SMEs and startups across Zimbabwe and the region.
We trade as MG Advisory, the practising name of Givemore Maguju Investments.
Mission, vision and the values we actually use
Our mission
To make small businesses investor ready — giving Zimbabwe’s SMEs and startups the financial discipline, statutory standing and commercial clarity they need to attract capital, win work and grow with confidence.
Our vision
To be the advisory firm Zimbabwean business owners turn to first — known not for the volume of returns we file, but for the number of businesses that became fundable, saleable and durable on our watch.
Our values
Relationship over transaction. Value over volume. Candour over comfort. We would rather tell a client something they do not want to hear than watch them walk into a problem we saw coming.
The people you will actually be working with
At MG Advisory you are not handed to a junior after the pitch. Our founders stay close to every engagement.
Givemore Maguju
Givemore founded MG Advisory and leads the firm’s advisory and corporate finance work. He brings extensive experience across corporate finance, sales, accounting and business development — a combination that lets him move between a client’s ledger and their growth strategy without losing the thread of either.
Patience Maguju
Patience co-founded the firm and holds the finance function. Her background spans banking and corporate finance, giving her a lender’s eye for the questions a client’s numbers will have to survive — which is precisely why our clients tend to pass due diligence the first time.
The wider team
Behind the founders sits a team of accountants, compliance specialists and commercial advisors who handle the day-to-day work — bookkeeping, filings, reporting and campaigns — with the same standard applied throughout.
Why clients stay with us
Plenty of firms will file your returns. Very few will tell you what your business is actually worth, and what it would take to make it worth more.
- One firm, eleven service lines — your accountant, compliance officer and growth advisor are the same team
- SME-native: small and growing businesses are the entire client base, and pricing reflects that
- Commercial, not just technical — corporate finance, sales, digital and AI sit alongside the accounting
- Long-term by design: we measure ourselves on client tenure, not billable hours
- Rooted in Harare, working across Zimbabwe and into the wider region
