Questions we get asked most
If your question is not here, ask it directly — we would rather answer it properly than have you guess.
How much does an initial consultation cost?
Nothing. The first consultation is free and carries no obligation. We use it to understand your business, review where you stand, and tell you what would be involved in putting things right. If we are not the right firm for you, we will say so.
How long does company registration take in Zimbabwe?
Once the name is reserved and all director and shareholder details are supplied, registration with the Registrar of Companies typically takes a matter of days rather than weeks. Delays are almost always caused by incomplete documentation or a name that cannot be reserved — which is why we check everything before submission rather than after.
My annual returns are years behind. Is that a problem you can fix?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons clients come to us. We calculate exactly how many returns are outstanding from your date of incorporation or re-registration, quote a fee per outstanding return so there are no surprises, and bring the statutory file fully up to date.
Outstanding returns are worth clearing before they block something urgent — a bank account, a tender submission or a transaction.
Do you work with businesses outside Harare?
Yes. We serve clients across Zimbabwe and into the wider region. Bookkeeping, accounting, tax and advisory work is handled remotely as standard, with documents exchanged securely and meetings held by call or video. We meet in person in Harare whenever it genuinely adds value.
How are your fees structured?
Most one-off work — company registration, outstanding returns, a set of financial statements, a financial model — is quoted as a fixed fee against a written scope, so you know the cost before we begin.
Ongoing bookkeeping, accounting and compliance work is usually a monthly or quarterly retainer sized to your transaction volume, so a smaller business is not paying for capacity it does not use.
We already have a bookkeeper. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Many of our clients keep their internal bookkeeper and use us for the work that sits above it: management accounts, annual financial statements, tax, statutory compliance, audit readiness and advisory. We are equally happy to support and train an in-house bookkeeper rather than replace them.
What does “investor ready” actually mean?
It means your business can survive due diligence. In practice that is five things: current and reconciled books, a complete statutory file, a clean tax position, a credible financial model, and a commercial story that stands up to questioning.
Most SMEs are declined on the first two — long before anyone forms a view on the business itself.
How quickly will you respond to my enquiry?
Within one business day. If the matter is urgent, call or WhatsApp +263 774 816 207 during office hours — Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.
